The conference of the future
New tools give your conference the right boost. Thanks to digitalisation, there are no limits when it comes to networking and this opportunity must be exploited. For example, by integrating new elements and engaging people.
Conferences are important. Their objective is to convey knowledge, to promote contacts and to advance ideas. Yet the prejudice about conferences being not so entertaining often prevails. But luckily this is no more than a prejudiced view, since above all we are now able to adapt conferences or management meetings to the spirit of the time thanks to the changes brought about by digtalisation. And make them exciting accordingly.
App for real conversations
We were able to organise and conceptualise an international management conference at the start of the year. The event app that was developed especially for the conference was held in high regard by the participants. And this is no coincidence: in addition to a simple informational function, which was kept up to date with presentations, discussions and appointments, it also had an integrated chat function, making communication enormously simplified and dynamic.
Activating people: the network is thriving
A great emphasis was placed on networking. The app allowed the participants to exchange business cards digitally by simply touching their smartphone. This networking was visualised on a large screen, meaning that you could track who was networking with whom in real time – and who had the most contacts. A small competition was organised to see who could get the most contacts as an additional incentive to network.
What’s the point?
Digitalisation is under way and is penetrating all areas of life and work. And we’re going with it. We have to adapt the instruments and tools to reality so that the new forms of communication and interaction can be exploited properly. In this case, it was a tailor-made app. And in your case? It’s best if we can discuss it personally so that we can find the most suitable solution together.
